That New Yorker article was really wild, thanks for sharing.

Also, as a Dodgers fan, now is a pretty good time to start following. The team is a bit in influx but still good and Shohei Ohtani is a treat to watch.

ok that’s encouraging! This is the dumbest q ever but do people just like…check ESPN on game days? listen to the radio broadcast? I truly do not understand the mechanics of sports fandom (and I know they’re different for everyone so it’s kind of useless to look for a prescriptive answer)

No worries! But yes, you can check ESPN or wherever. I have the Yahoo Sports app, it's fine for looking at a box score. You can also watch game highlights in 8-12ish minute videos on YouTube, which are fun (here's a good one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hH0-LnPdrzI&ab_channel=MLB). If you want to try and catch a game live, you can fish for streams on sportsurge.net but it links to sites that have lots of pop ups...

There's lots more you can delve into if baseball becomes your thing (IG pages, websites, subreddits, twitter accounts, etc...) but that's a good place to start.
